What's so Important About SAS?

Posted by Justin Mingo on Feb 13, 2019 11:31:08 AM

Statistical Analysis System, or SAS, has been the industry standard for data management and analytics of large volumes of data. It’s a very flexible platform that provides users various means to manipulate, analyze, process, and report on data.

What is SAS Used for?

Imagine AstraZeneca managing the production, provenance, current location, destination, or pharmacy customer for every pill produced. Imagine Lufthansa managing the air tickets and flight data for millions of customers every day. Or perhaps Honda tracking the inventory for every vehicle produced and for sale around the world - plus data on which parts are included in which models at any given location; in case of a product recall? These are all examples of things that can be done with SAS. AstraZeneca, Lufthansa, and Honda are all companies that use SAS in their everyday business. SAS is an invaluable tool for business in the 21st century.

Given the strong unemployment figures on display recently: some people have questioned the wisdom of going back to school for graduate degrees. The truth of the matter is that advanced education is wiser now more than ever.  You WANT to go back to school when the market is doing well – that way you will be in a better competitive position should the markets take a downturn by the time you reach graduation.

How Income Sharing Agreements Can Improve Education

Posted by Justin Mingo on Jun 1, 2018 11:22:53 AM
Income Sharing Agreements, or ISA’s, are on the rise today. Primarily among community colleges, trade schools, and other professional development institutions. However, even traditional, non-profit schools such as Purdue University are starting to take a look at what the ISA model has to offer.

Student debt, generated through traditional education funding models, is clearly getting out of hand. According to ProgressivePolicy.org: over two thirds (2/3) of students what take on loans are still in debt, even twelve years after enrollment, and 27% have defaulted on their loans. This problem has only been getting steadily worse over time. The ISA presents an answer to this problem.
