How Income Sharing Agreements Can Improve Education

Income Sharing Agreements, or ISA’s, are on the rise today. Primarily among community colleges, trade schools, and other professional development institutions. However, even traditional, non-profit schools such as Purdue University are starting to take a look at what the ISA model has to offer.

Student debt, generated through traditional education funding models, is clearly getting out of hand. According to ProgressivePolicy.org: over two thirds (2/3) of students what take on loans are still in debt, even twelve years after enrollment, and 27% have defaulted on their loans. This problem has only been getting steadily worse over time. The ISA presents an answer to this problem.
